In State v. Dr. R.B. , a "pill-mill" prosecution in Orlando, Bruce Lehr was able to prove that the lead agent and the clinic office manager had an affair and that is how the agent gained access to see the doctor. All charges dropped.

Public Corruption:

Represented the Mayor of South Miami who was arrested the day before Elections Day and charged with accepting an illegal campaign donation. Entire conversation, including receiving check, was taped by undercover informant.

Acquitted by jury: Represented North Bay Village Commissioner charged with Abuse of Official Position. Negotiated plea to self-styled Pre-Trial Diversion Program.

Represented Mayor of the City of West Miami charged with making $70,000 in personal international calls and abuse of his office. *Not Guilty Verdict by jury as to the $70,000 worth of phone calls

Represented draw-bridge contractor charged with Racketeering, Unlawful Compensation, Organized Scheme to Defraud, paying bribes to government officials over a period of years. Negotiated plea to Probation.

Narcotics:

Defended a person in South Florida, who was alleged to have negotiated for the purchase of a submarine allegedly in order to bring 40 tons of cocaine up the West Coast of the United States. Facing life in prison, was able to negotiate settlement. Released 30 days after testifying before federal jury.

Defended Israeli Organized Crime Figure in Largest Ecstasy case ever tried in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida - 800,000 ecstasy pills; Convicted by Federal Jury.

Defended owner of Fort Lauderdale Pain Treatment Center charged with running a "Pill Mill." Judgment of Acquittal granted mid-trial by Judge Ilona Holmes.

Represented 18 year old Goulds youth who was charged with Possession of LSD after hand-to-hand delivery to Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Agents. Acquitted by federal jury.

Represented man who worked for Port of Miami Cargo Company charged with providing seizure information to drug traffickers. Acquitted by federal jury.

Represented a young man in Alachua Circuit Court charged with 7 trips to and from Miami and Gainesville, each carrying a trafficking amount of cocaine. Charges included cocaine trafficking and money laundering. Acquitted by jury as to all charges.

Represented chief mechanic at Waste Hauling Company, charged with trafficking in 1200 pounds of marijuana hidden in tractor-trailer. Acquitted by federal jury.

Represented man accused of conspiring to have a trafficking quantity of cocaine smuggled onto a cruise ship in Jamaica to be removed by a long shoreman co-defendant. Acquitted by federal jury.

White Collar:

Represented defendant in factoring fraud - Largest white-collar federal case in Florida history (at that time) - $170 million dollar bank fraud case, Convicted by Jury

Represented Assistant Chief of Miami Fire Department - hired for sentencing only. Despite Government seeking top of Federal Sentencing Guidelines, defendant Sentenced to Bottom of the Guidelines.

Represented defendant accused in $135 million dollar Ponzi Scheme. Negotiated with US Attorneys Office to plea to one charge only - one 371 (Federal conspiracy violation). Defendant facing 5 year cap on sentence, despite Federal Guidelines well over 10 years.

Represented Miami Shore Police Department Dispatcher, accused of Worker's Compensation Insurance Fraud. Judgment of Acquittal granted mid-trial by Judge Jorge Cueto.

Currently representing only equity partner of convicted $1.2 billion Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein, awaiting client's arrest on federal white collar charges.

Represented Haitian man accused in federal court of 3 counts of Identity Theft. Judgment of Acquittal granted mid-trial by Judge Dimitrouleas as to 1 count, Acquitted by federal jury as to 1 count, convicted as to 1 count.

Currently representing man in mortgage fraud case, named by United States Attorney's Office as the "King of South Florida Mortgage Fraud."

Crimes of Violence:

Represented East Hialeah man in 10 count Information for Sexually Molesting two young girls from ages 7 through 9 years old. Both testified live as well as in video at Sexual Assault Treatment Center. Acquitted by jury all 10 counts.

Represented man charged with digitally penetrating and sexually molesting his 3 year old daughter, who bore both physical proof of the assault but also gave a taped statement that he father was the perpetrator. Acquitted by Broward jury.

Successfully negotiated case of a 17 year old who was beaten on a school bus, and the following day alleged to have brought gun and shot schoolmate on the school bus.

Represented a Miami Shores Police Officer who forced his way into his estranged wife's home, and wrestled with wife's boyfriend in attempt to pull firearm - charged with Burglary with aessault. Negotiated plea to probation and a withholding of adjudication.

Represented man who had a restraining order against him by his wife, charged with breaking into her home, pistol whipping her, raping her at gunpoint, kidnaping her and stealing from her. Acquitted by jury on all felony counts. Only found guilty of misdemeanor - violating restraining order.

Represented man charged in First Degree Murder of 12 year old North Miami Beach girl. Negotiated plea to second degree murder.

Represented 20 year old charged with threatening neighbor by telephone, driving to his home, aiming at neighbor at high speed, then making a "k-turn" in neighbor's driveway and ultimately hitting him with car in front of two witnesses. Acquitted by Broward jury.

Miscellaneous:

Represented man accused of rear ending and killing Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Robert Smith while driving under the influence with nearly triple the legal blood alcohol level. Convicted by jury after defendant turned down offer of half the bottom of the guidelines, mid-trial.

Represented man in DUI Manslaughter case in Palm Beach County. Negotiated plea to minimal prison based upon showing through the State's own toxicologist that the drugs in defendant's system could have been administered after the traffic crash.

Represented man in DUI Manslaughter in Broward County. Negotiated plea to 6 months County Jail on 17 year Guidelines case by showing through the State's own toxicologist that the cocaine in the defendant's system may have been from early enough to have no longer been affecting his system.

Represented Transportation Safety Agency (TSA) screener in charges of stealing from passengers' luggage. His supervisor and three co-workers were called by the Government as witness. Acquitted of all charges by federal jury.

Represented a 23 year old Miami-Dade Police Dispatcher charged with DUI Manslaughter for speeding on Miami Beach and crashing into a light pole causing the death of his sister and best friend who were passengers in the vehicle. Challenged expert's findings in jury trial. Judgment of Acquittal granted mid-trial by Judge.

Represented a 19 year old who was driving by South Miami's Bakery center, struck and killed two youths, then reported vehicle car-jacked. The impact was so hard that one of the youth's teeth was embedded in the windshield. Was given two years probation and no conviction.
